"VOLCANO DOWNHILL"
99% offroad downhill - 100% fun After the pick-up service from the hotel you go by minibus up to the large caldera of Batur volcano, we can enjoy awhile the view of the still active crater (1717m) and the Batur-Lake. After that, our classic downhill begins on the slopes of Abang (2153m) above the Batur-Lake at 1350m down to the foothills of Mount Agung. On forest and plantation roads we first easily biking through eucalyptus- and pine forests climbing until the departure from coffee and cocoa plantations begins. The giant peak of Mount Agung (3142m) we can see when he's not in the clouds. In a small smithy in the middle of "bush", we take a break and watch the manufacture of sickles with an ancient technique in a mini-manufacture. After this excursion into the past, we pass continue on strong sand slopes at the foot of Agung through a spectacular landscape of volcanic origin until we can find the first villages. Everywhere you call us a friendly "Hello" and a "snapshot" with the locals we can take everywhere. About a few small trails we finally reach the first rice terraces and follow our goal "Taman Tirta (550m), on a small asphalt road. On the way back with the minibus we visit the ancient royal city of Klungkung.
