Bali & Lombok Cycling Tour

16 DAYS EXOTIC & ADVENTURE PUR

1st Day: ARRIVAL IN DENPASAR
Pick up from Airport Denpasar. There will be enough time for a Welcome-Cocktail, the completion of the bikes and a short trip to the centre of Ubud, which is a nice artist-village where we will also have dinner.

2nd Day: AYUNG RIVER CROSSING
On the first biking-day, we will take it slow and easy. So we will have a relatively flat day-tour through rice-terraces, traditional villages and with the crossing of a hanging-bridge over the gorge of the Ayung River, which is the largest river of Bali.
Our target for the refreshment after the tour won't be the Ayung river, but the pool of our Hotel in Ubud. You can relax your legs upon a slow evening walk through the crazy city of Ubud.
- Distance: 34 km , alti-metre: 475 , Coating: asphalt except for the carry-distance into the canyon of approx. 300 m, Length: approx. 5 hrs.

3rd Day: AYUNG RIVER RAFTING
Today you can satisfy your desire for adventures upon rafting through the canyon of the Ayung river and taking in the breathtaking nature. Afterwards we will complete the tour by bike. The evening will be spend once again in Ubud with its little shops and lots of "Warungs"* and its special atmosphere. If you want to gain a bit strength for the next day, it is recommended to order "smoked duck" or a "baby guling" in one of the Restaurants of Ubud.
- Distance: 28 km , alti-metre: 210 , Coating: asphalt , Rafting: 10 km, Length: approx. 6 hrs.

4th Day: MAGIG MOUNTAINS
For the first time we will go up into the mountains. If you had followed the advice to eat smoked duck or baby guling you will have the opportunity to loose the added calories today...... The first kilometres will be relatively easy along the beautiful rice-terraces and coco-plantations.

After a short break at the caldera of the volcano Batur we will ride downhill along the gorge of the Telaga Waja River surrounded by rice terraces to our Hotel at the beach. If we have enough time, then we can visit also still the temple Besakih.

5th Day: LOMBOK ISLAND
The 4-5 hours long crossing will be very interesting and adventurous. Once we have reached the island Nusa Penidia you can already see Lombok with the impressive Rinjani-massif.
After the landing in Lembar we will have to bike 35 km through the originally Lombok to our hotel with pool at the beach. At sundown we will admire Bali with the volcano Agung as a silhouette in the deep red sunlight.

6th Day: GILI ISLANDS
Our tour along the steep cliffs with snow-white bays, coco-palms and picturesque fisherman-villages will be up and down like being in a rollercoaster. From far away we can make out the 3 Gili islands in the glittering ocean. We will reach our South sea - destination by boat and Gili Trawangan will let us forget the rest of the world for 2 days………………

7th Day: SNORKELING, DIVING & RELAXING
This day is for relaxing, snorkeling or diving at the free disposal.

8th Day: RINJANI MOUNTAIN GARDEN
Saying Good-bye to the Gili islands will break our hearts, but the climax of the tour has not been reached yet. After a short boat tour we will bike flatly through peanut-plantations and rice-fields, which have been built to fit into the original landscape. The second part of this tour will be more interesting and we will have to make some 500 alti-metre to our base-camp. Our camp provide a splendid view and we can enjoy the sunset once again.

-Distance: 65 km , alti-metre: 700 , Coating: asphalt , Length: approx. 6 hrs.

9th Day: WATERFALL TREKKING
After the breakfast we walk by rice fields, rain forest and bamboo jungle for showering into an evergreen oval of the exotic flora. We take a bath in a fantastically swimmingpool with Tarzan-feeling ........
Who not yet enough is wet, which can go on the way home through underground watercourses “channeln”. But with the sunset we all sit again together at the campfire and enjoy our BBQ.

10th Day: HIGHLAND OF SEMBALUN
First we ride down, after that a hilly landscap with peanut- and tobacco-plantations. But the last part is just uphill. Late in afternoon we arrive the highland of Sembalun, a beautiful landscape. We spend the night in the near Rinjani Natianalparc in a simple hotel
- Distance: 30 km , alti-metre: 900 , Coating : asphalt, Length: approx. 5 hrs.

11th Day: BAMBOO DOWNHILL
We will cross the "Highland of Sembalun" with impressive mountains by bike making 470 alti-metre through rain-forest up to the pass. As a reward we will enjoy the downhill of 25 km length through richly green vegetation, bamboo-jungle and tobacco-plantations!
The minibus will bring us in 2 hours in our hotel.

- Distance: 32km , alti-metre: 470 , Coating : asphalt, Length: approx. 4-5 hrs, minibus 2 hrs.

12th Day: CHARM OF THE SOUTH SEAS
We drive the last bike-day along the coast with COCOS-plantations toward beach with south-sea-feeling. On the way we ride through lonely villages with gold fever. The 40 flatly kilometers offense as in the dream and in the end the fantastic distance we can in a beautiful hotel directly at the beach recover.

- Distance: 40 km , alti-metre: 20 , Coating: asphalt, partly broken , Length: 6 hrs.

13th Day: RELAX, DIVING & SNORKELING This day is at the free disposal. A boat route to snorkeling or diving at the reefs close convenient islands is just as possible as a trip with the bike to one of the best Surfspots in Lombok. The friendly hotel-staff will be helpful to the organization.

14th Day: BACK TO BALI
After breakfast our bus will bring you to the airport in Lombok and after approximately 20 flight minutes you will arrive the dream island Bali ............. A few minutes later our air-conditioned minibus will bring you in a hotel with tropical garden and pool.

15th Day: RELAX
After breakfast we can relax, go for shopping or we will pump up our arm- and shoulder-muscles by surfing the waves. You can't surf? Well………..time to learn!......... Or better just watch the professionals doing it…………….
You will find lots of possibilities to spend the rest of your last day!

16th Day: BACK TO THE AIRPORT
In the morning lots of time to relax and pack, than bustransfer to Airport Denpasar.
You may even find time to purchase some last souvenirs.
